================================================ Subject: [ Creed Discuss ] doors fans From: "Lee Reed" To: Date: Sat 07 Sep 2002 02:37:04 -0400 ================================================ some interesting info...considering the first time i heard creed's version of riders on the storm and was blown away, my initial reaction was that scott got fucked here...by the same token, if you have the doors tribute cd, you know that ian kicks ass too...and he happens to be available, while scott's on tour....got this from a new site, check it out, www.yourrock.com , but it's more heavy stuff as well as older rock, so just be forewarned... Lee THE DOORS, featuring THE CULT frontman Ian Astbury and ex-THE POLICE drummer Stewart Copeland, performed a secret show at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood, California last night as a warm-up for their announced reunion show on September 6th at the California Motor Speedway as part of the Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary Open Road Tour. The entire event was reportedly taped for an upcoming release through Bright Midnight Records, a label formed and operated by The Doors Music Company. According to reports, THE DOORS performed a four-song set consisting of the following: 01. Roadhouse Blues 02. Strange Days 03. Love Me Two Times 04. When The Music's Over During the interview segment of the show, which was conducted by veteran Los Angeles DJ Jim Ladd, THE DOORS mainstays Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger revealed plans to compose music for a new THE DOORS CD, which will apparently feature Astbury on lead vocals. A late 2003 release is expected. _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.debbir.com/lists/Creed-discuss.htm To submit your profile, visit: http://www.creedlisters.com/profile/submit.asp To view List member Profiles, visit: http://www.creedlisters.com
